Here we are in October with all things autumnal on the horizon! IWF has lots of fun events planned for this month; hopefully we will see you at one or all.
Save the Date for the October Monthly Meeting, which will take place on 21 October. We look forward to exploring Bologna with a walking tour by Anna Brini. Details to follow!
A volunteer opportunity has opened up and we are looking for a new Interest Group Leader for the Language XChange. Being an interest group leader is a fun way to become further involved in our community by arranging small informal events that welcome members with common interests on a monthly basis. If you are curious and would like to learn more about joining our group of leaders, please email interestgroups@iwfbologna.com.

Coffee Morning – will start its weekly meeting on 5 October Tuesday at 10.00 at Le Serre inside Giardini Margherita. Please find all the details here.
Language XChange – is back on 5 October at 1.30 at the Chalet dei Giardini Margherita with ample outdoor space. We are finally meeting with old, and hopefully new friends, for an informal conversation in English, for those who would like to sharpen their skills, and in Italian for foreign friends who might have just arrived in Bologna and need the extra exercise. Ramblers – 10 October the women-only half-day walk will start at 10.00 at Porta Saragozza and go up through Parco Villa Spada and Parco San Pellegrino to Via di Monte Albano and then descend to Parco Talon and the Reno. Save the date for the next half-day walk on Saturday 16 October— details will follow shortly. *Please note that the date has changed from the 17 to the 16 October.
Kocktailklatsch – will host its first seasonal drink at 19.30 on 13 October at Cantinella for a fun and relaxed aperitivo. This event is open to IWF members and their female and male guests. Please leave a comment on the event post to let Rachel know you will be attending!
Culture Club – 17 October at 10.30 will have its first event at the Cà La Ghironda Art Museum. The Club will be visiting Cà la Ghironda Modern Art Museum which is situated in an architectural complex inside a 10 hectares park. Within the park you can admire 210 sculptures by the most significant masters of our time: from Manzù to Zorio as well as the collection inside the museum.
