Once a year, as we have already done in the past, the Culture Club explores a cultural destination outside of the city. Join us for a cultural half day in Ferrara!
Ferrara deserves a visit for many reasons. Among others, because of its relaxed but glamourous atmosphere, its paved narrow streets, its charming squares. On Sat. 26th of October we have one more reason to visit it: thanks to the “Monumenti Aperti” Festival, the city unveils some of its monuments and opens them for free. Very special guides to this event will be the students of the “scuole medie” and of the fourth and fifth grade of the “scuole elementari”, supported by the Ferrara OFF theatre institution.
Our main destination will be the Ex Teatro Verdi, as it has been recently renovated and has not been opened to the public yet. Then we will move on to some of the other buildings or simply stroll through the city centre, as we feel like. As the monuments open at 10am I suggest that you consider stopping in Ferrara for lunch in order to enjoy their delicious “cappellacci alla zucca” or the overwhelming “salama da sugo ferrarese”.
