Our guest this evening is local organic farm and winery Tomisa, who will introduce us to their wines that are representative of the Bolognese Hills terroir. The winery was presented to us by our long standing IWF member, sommelier, and entrepreneur Sheila, who has established various ties with small food and wine producers from Italy, the US and other countries with her company Vero.
Sheila is an IWFer from practically when she arrived in Bologna in 2001 to work for a Bolognese company in the banking/technology field which was her first career. After becoming a sommelier and having a year of sabbatical in 2017 she decided in 2018 to start a company in the US, called Vero, which sources and sells direct to consumers and businesses across the US wines and foods from small producers in Italy, US, and other countries. She’s excited to be introducing you to one of the Vero producers, Tomisa.
Her website is www.verovinogusto.com and she’s pleased to offer a 10% discount to IWFers who want to send gifts of boutique, sustainably made wines and olive oils to their friends and relatives in the US. Just put in to put in discount code VEROIWF at the checkout. Be sure to follow Vero on social media @verovinogusto.
