Ramblers: San Mamolo to the church of San Michele di Gaibola via Parco Villa Ghigi

Hope you can join the first walk of 2025!

Meeting Place: San Mamolo at the newspaper kiosk

We will follow the road Via dell’Osservanza up to the Church of San Paolo in Monte and into Villa Ghigi where we will follow the path round in a loop where we will see beautiful views of Bologna and its towers. We will head to the Eremo di Ronzano, the 12^th century hermitage built as a retreat for nuns and then onto the Church of San Michele di Gaibola. We will then walk back down to Sam Mamolo taking in the fantastic views of the Basilica of San Luca.

This is an intermediate hike – comprising of trail paths and roads and is quite steep in places. Good fitness is required.
