As we wait for the latest awards contenders to open in our cinemas, let’s usher in a New Year with a classic, The Man Who Fell To Earth (1976). On the tenth anniversary of his death (hard to believe that it’s been that long!), Cinema Modernissimo has organised the David Bowie Day in honour of this most unique and talented artist. This gem from the acclaimed British director Nicholas Roeg is arguably Bowie’s best acting role and it would be hard to imagine anyone else playing an alien landing on our planet.
The film starts at 17.30 on Saturday, 10th January. Please meet me in the lobby downstairs at Cinema Modernissimo at 17.15. I hope you can stay afterwards at Modernissimo’s Caffè Pathé for a chat and a drink of your choice.
My seat is I7. Tickets can be purchased at the Cineteca’s bookshop (Voltone del Podestà, Piazza Maggiore) or online .
