The Brutalist is an epic postwar drama about a Hungarian architect coming to America (Adrien Brody) which the Hollywood Reporter called: “A monumental symphony of immigrant experience”. Critical acclaim has been followed by awards (Golden Globe for acting, best drama, best director, American Film Institute’s Film of the Year, etc.). It is, however, epic in duration too – 215’/3.5 hours.
So, if you’d like to join me to see what the fuss is all about, please get your ticket for Saturday, 25th January, at 17:00 (let’s meet 15′ before the start). My seat is D5. After the film, we could get an aperitivo/snack at Centro Costa, to have a chat and compare notes.
Tickets can be purchased online at https://cinetecadibologna.it/programmazione/proiezione/the-brutalist/?repeat=15155 or in the Cineteca Bookshop, Voltone del Podestà, off Piazza Maggiore.
To RSVP, leave a comment including whether you’d like to stay on for the aperitivo.
