Join me for Italy’s film in competition at this year’s Cannes film festival, Fuori by Mario Martone, starring Valeria Golino, Matilde de Angelis and Elodie.
The film is based on the life and autobiographical books of Italian feminist writer Goliarda Sapienza and her book The Art of Joy, in which she writes about her brief stint in prison and the events and friendship that follow it.
