Diners Club: Casa Merlò POSTPONED

In light of the very recent developments with the ongoing pandemic, I think it’s best to postpone the dinner.

I foresee organizing future events in different forms that would allow us to enjoy ourselves, while still being cautious and adhering to best practices.

With that in mind, I will keep the November date with flexibility, in anticipation.

In the interim, if you would like to share your favorite place you like to dine, take guests and/or seasonal food events that you really enjoy  — in Bologna and beyond —  the ‘In the Kitchen and Eating Out’ Social Board is a great place where we can share our wealth of knowledge.

Until then – eat well and be well.

Hello Ladies,

Ready to reconvene?

I think perhaps the atmosphere has settled enough for us to safely enjoy a dinner indoors together as the weather turns colder.

For our first outing of the autumn season I’d like to invite you to Casa Merlò, a new and informally innovative restaurant in the city centre. Opened in August 2019, Dario Picchiotti and Francesco Tonelli have created a menu that honors tradition with a bit of fresh air. From Bolognese favourites to daily fresh fish and on to a few surprises from farther flung; each dish is well presented, service is knowledgeable and the wine list – cosmopolitan. What more could one ask for?

Reservations are for October 15th at 20.30.

You may reserve your place at the table by leaving a comment below by the 14th.
