October Monthly Meeting

Save the date for the October Monthly Meeting, scheduled for Thursday, October 20th, during which author and former Johns Hopkins SAIS student, Katherine Wilson, will talk about her new book Only in Naples: Lessons in Food and Famiglia from my Italian Mother-in-Law, which was BBC national radio's Book of the Week in June 2016. The meeting, which is a joint event with JHU SAIS, will be held in the penthouse at Johns Hopkins University (Via Belmeloro, 11) with social greetings starting at 7:15pm in the downstairs bar and the talk commencing promptly at 8pm. Afterwards, we will gather at Toffee Art-Café at via Zanolini 3/C.

Katherine Wilson was born and raised in Washington D.C. After graduating Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University, she pursued a diploma in International Relations at Johns Hopkins SAIS in Bologna Italy. She then began working in Italian film, television and theater, as well as translations and dubbing. Her career has included leading roles in Jesus Christ Superstar with Carl Anderson and Amii Stewart, Evita with Bob Simon, and the television miniseries Submerged directed by James Keach. She also appeared in Giuseppe Tornatore’s film The Best Offer with Donald Sutherland and Geoffrey Rush. She lives in Rome with her husband and two children.
